We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to help us scale our next-generation laser processing platform. Spun out from the University of Oxford in 2017, Opsydia is a specialist laser technology company harnessing decades of academic excellence and experience in adaptive optics that enable the writing of features in transparent materials. Our writing technology has gone on to provide functionalities across many scientific and industrial areas. Our technology provides a platform for functional devices in transparent materials such as optical glass and diamond, with several disruptive applications ranging from datacoms, quantum to sensing devices. THE ROLE Working closely with our Business Development arm and the wider team, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and evolving the company’s advertising and marketing strategy through the development and delivery of creative, data-driven initiatives. This includes producing engaging marketing content across digital channels, managing social media presence, and identifying new platforms and opportunities to strengthen Opsydia's brand visibility. You would lead our digital marketing activity such as social media management, email campaigns, paid advertising, and content distribution, while c reating news updates, graphics, and wider marketing materials, to be used both internal ly and externa l l y. Working closely with operational teams, you would utilise content from the lab, office, and production environments to showcase the business authentically. You would also conduct market and competitor research to inform strategic decisions, advising on campaigns, providing administrative support through database management, scheduling, and coordination to ensure marketing activities both digitally and on the ground run smoothly. ABOUT YOU You will be able to demonstrate that you have the following : - Effective time management and attention to detail Experience of working within a technologically advancing organisation ; laser or optical very desirable Digital competency with platforms such as Google, LinkedIn and other analytics tools Innovative approaches to identifying key marketing and collaboration opportunities Experience with international exhibition logistics and tradeshow planning Ability to generate engaging campaigns and innovative content Capability to elicit genuine and enthusiastic engagement with relevant stakeholders A high standard of copywriting You may also have : - Experience in engagement with technological institutions Interest in the laser and optics technology industry Experience of working within a small and driven team We aim to build a world-class team with complementary skills and can expect applicants with significant experience to tak e leadership roles on projects.
