Job Title: Environmental Consultant
Location: Cavan, Hybrid & Flexible (Ireland-based)
Job Purpose:
The Environmental Consultant will support the integration of environmental software solutions and managed services (environmental consultancy, project management, asset tagging, IoT, etc.) with client systems and processes from initial engagement through to implementation. The Environmental Consultant will contribute to environmental projects, assist with regulatory assessments, and support senior staff in delivering high-quality environmental services. This role includes site work, report preparation, and client interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Project Support:
· Supporting environmental projects from inception to completion, including site investigations, data collection, and assisting with risk assessments.
Technical Support:
· Assisting with environmental regulations, impact assessments (e.g., EIAs), and permitting processes.
Report Preparation:
· Supporting the preparation of environmental documents such as EIARs, EIA Screening Reports, and Resource and Waste Management Plans.
Client and Stakeholder Support:
· Assisting in liaising with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
Team Collaboration:
· Working closely with senior consultants and contributing to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Business Support:
· Assisting with proposal preparation and supporting client relationship activities.
Compliance and Permitting:
· Supporting compliance with environmental regulations and assisting with permit applications.
Environmental Audits:
· Assisting with environmental, health, and safety compliance audits.
Travel and Representation:
· Attending client meetings and site visits as required across Ireland and the UK.

Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· 3–5 years' experience working in the environmental sector.
· Experience supporting environmental consultancy projects.
· Familiarity with environmental assessments and compliance processes.
· Membership of relevant professional bodies such as CIWEM, IEMA, or similar is desirable.
Additional Requirements
· Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
· Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
· Full driving licence with eligibility to drive in Ireland.
