First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Electrical Systems Technician on behalf of one of our clients.
This challenging position involves the installation of bespoke MOTS/COTS electrical systems in support of both vehicle and survivability systems. Some bench manufacture of individual looms and bench modification of electro-mechanical sub-systems may also be required to support certain bespoke projects.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Support to the company’s production activities at sites.
2. Hands on assembly of electrical looms including:
3. Reading schematic drawings.
4. Managing BoMs.
5. Controlling stocks of electrical consumables.
6. Support continuous improvement initiatives to include lean manufacturing principles.
7. Assist the Team leader on meeting performance-based outputs (KPI’s).
8. Assist, where required, the Electrical Design team on proto-type development of electrical and electro-mechanical sub-systems being embodied into our products.

Skills and Qualifications:
10. HNC/BTEC Diploma or equivalent in Automotive Systems installation and repair.
11. Experience of low production manufacturing techniques and processes.
12. An understanding of military specification radios and electrical sub-systems or similar.
13. An understanding of OEM automotive vehicle systems.
14. An understanding of the impact of electromagnetic influence on electrical sub-systems and networks.
15. Be able to apply system design electrical theory and electronic principles to sub-system faults.
