FulljobdescriptionCommercialVehicleTechnician Ourclient,basedinNorthLondon,islookingforaCommercialVehicleTechniciantojointheirteam JobPurpose:CommercialVehicleTechnician TransportServicesmanagesthemaintenanceandrepairofthecouncil'svehiclefleet/plant/equipment,inaccordancewithlegalregulations,leasecompany'sandmanufactures'standardsandtargets.TheCommercialVehicleTechnician(Level3)roleistosupporttheWorkshopManagerbyundertakingthemaintenanceofthecouncil'sfleet,includingthirdpartyandplantmaintenanceprocessesarecarriedouteffectivelytomeettheservicesobligations,inatimelyandcost-effectivemanner. Keyaccountabilities:CommercialVehicleTechnician ToassistinthedeliveryofanefficientandeffectiveTransportWorkshopService,throughtheundertakingmaintenanceofthecouncil'sfleet,includingthirdpartyvehicularandplantfleetmaintenance,inaneffectiveandsafemanner.Dutiesincludetheindividual'scombinedandeffectiveuseofskills,expertise,andthetechnicalresourcesoftheTransportWorkshop,inrespectofinspection,servicingandrepairofvehicles,plantandtheirassociatedcomponents,employingsuchskillsandknowledgeasmayberequiredwithdueregardtoensuringthefleetismaintainedinalegalandroadworthycondition. Toassistinsupportingofsolutionsthatwillenablethecompliancewiththecouncil'soperators'license,appropriatelegislation,council'spolicies,andperformancestandards. Promotecontinuousimprovementand'rightfirsttime'culture,withintheTransportWorkshopteam. Thecouncil'sdesignatedVOSAMOTStationNominatedTester,responsibleforundertakingMOTTests(Class4,5&7). Toassistintheprovisionoftheday-to-dayTransportWorkshopadministrationandFleetwaveIToperationalsupport.
