Senior Clinical Psychologist – Band 8a. Location: Aldrington House, Hove. Contract: Fixed term, 12 months (maternity cover to September 2026). Hours: Part time, 30 hours per week.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Psychologist to join our Specialist Family Eating Disorder Service (SFEDS) in Hove. This service supports young people aged 10–18 with eating disorders and their families across Sussex, delivering evidence-based interventions including Maudsley Family Therapy and E-CBT in line with NICE guidance.
Responsibilities
* Providing high-quality specialist psychological assessment and intervention.
* Managing a clinical caseload and exercising autonomous professional responsibility.
* Offering consultation, supervision and training to colleagues, assistants and trainees.
* Contributing to service evaluation, audit and research.
About you / Qualifications
* Post-graduate doctoral training in applied psychology (or equivalent).
* HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist.
* Experience of psychological assessment and treatment across a range of care settings.
* Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams and supervising staff.
* Knowledge of local and national policies relevant to the role.
Experience of working with young people with eating disorders is desirable but not essential.
