The Opportunity
We are working with a respected chain of independent opticians who are seeking a full-time Optical Assistant to join their dedicated team in the Southampton area. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a trusted group that combines the personal touch of independents with the support and structure of a larger network.

Key Responsibilities
* Welcoming patients and delivering excellent customer service
* Dispensing glasses to all levels with accuracy and confidence
* Supporting pre-screening tests and assisting with contact lens appointments
* Helping patients choose frames and advising on lens options
* Handling reception duties including appointment booking and patient record management
* Contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
About You
* Previous experience as an Optical Assistant is essential
* Skilled in dispensing and confident supporting patients of all ages
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Friendly, approachable, and professional manner
* A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
