How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will help shape and design future digital solutions that deliver services to the residents and front-line key workers of South Gloucestershire. Working within our Discover and Design practice as part of a project team, you’ll primarily focus on applying strong business analysis and service design skills to deliver user‑centred digital solutions.
What You Will Be Doing
* You will work on several digital products and projects, balancing business needs with a strong user‑centred design focus. Examples include: designing a new back‑office system to support education services and developing a new document storage and information governance model for the whole organisation.
* Working with the business and talking to users, you will gather and refine requirements, evaluate options for solving problems and often contribute to procurement exercises for Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) products.
* You will work both independently and with peers in a project team and attend and/or lead meetings and workshops as required.
* It will be key for you to identify opportunities for process improvement through the application of digital technology, specifically where automation can be implemented.
* You will be responsible for producing documentary and visual artefacts, such as process diagrams, and prepare evidence‑based proposals in collaboration with colleagues such as Solution Architects.
What We Need From You
* Strong knowledge and experience in undertaking a Business Analysis or Service Design role within a technology/digital delivery team.
* Good knowledge and experience of digital transformation, organisational improvement and ensuring value for money.
* Experience in development methodologies and of working in a project‑centric delivery environment.
* Experience of managing effective customer, stakeholder and supplier relationships and confident communicating to a wide range of stakeholders.
* Excellent analytical skills and an impeccable attention to detail with the ability to make things clear and simple through effective communication that is appropriate to the audience.
* Ability to work to strict deadlines, manage a demanding workload and prioritise accordingly.
* Ideally you will hold a recognised Business Analysis (or similar) qualification and demonstrate working knowledge of applying tools and techniques commonly used in this type of role.
What You Need To Know
* This is a 12-month limited‑term contract, ending 31st December 2026.
* The role is offered as an internal secondment opportunity; you should first seek your line manager’s permission before applying.
* This role is hybrid, with a mixture of working at our office Badminton Road, Yate and working from home.
Interviews Anticipated
Week commencing 15th December 2025.
