Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work as an Outpatient Scheduler in the newly designed Gynaecology Outpatient Booking POD in the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport. You will be responsible for booking appointments for a team of 25 Consultants and associated teams, from which you will gain an in-depth knowledge of the booking process for Gynaecology and build close working relationships with key stakeholders. You will need excellent communication skills and be able to work under pressure, have a good knowledge of the RTT rules and be an experienced Welsh PAS user.
Working to the Gynaecology Directorate, you will be well supported and encouraged to develop in this role.
The position available is permanent full time but also requires to work on a rota on weekends
Main duties of the job
Applicants are invited to join our dynamic Gynaecology Booking Team in the Royal Gwent Hospital. The post-holder will be responsible for the management of the Gynaecology Outpatient waiting list including but not limited to first outpatient and follow up appointments.
You will be supported in the role by a Team Leader and full in-house training will be given. The role is fast paced and interesting. Candidates with proven Customer Service experience, particularly in a Call Centre environment, would work well with our Team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
