SEND Senior Tribunals OfficerService care Solution are currently recruiting for a SEND Senior Tribunals Officer in Kent.We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SEND Senior Tribunals Officer to join our Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in ensuring the council’s response to Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal (SENDT) appeals is comprehensive, coordinated, and timely.This is a remote position.Pay rate - £314.15 PAYE / £400 Umbrella per dayMain ResponsibilitiesAs a SEND Senior Tribunals Officer you will be responsible for:
* Draft and prepare Kent County Council’s response to SENDT appeals and judicial orders.
* Represent the local authority at tribunal hearings.
* Collaborate with legal teams and manage appeals effectively.
* Lead multi-agency meetings as part of tribunal case preparation.
* Track and report on appeal trends to inform strategic planning.
* Maintain accurate records of specialist spending and case data.
* Keep key databases, including Synergy, updated in real time.
* Support additional duties aligned with the team’s objectives.
Requirements:
* Educated to degree level in Law, Education, or a related field.
* Experienced in handling complex, sensitive matters with parents, carers, schools, and partner agencies.
* Skilled in communication, both written and verbal, across a wide range of audiences.
