Title: Senior Systems Analyst – SQL / Enterprise Applications Support

Synergize Consulting are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Systems Analyst to join a global support function responsible for maintaining and enhancing a complex enterprise insurance software platform.
This role sits within an international team supporting a specialised business-critical system used across multiple insurance environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in investigating system issues, analysing business requirements, developing fixes and enhancements, and ensuring the platform operates effectively in line with agreed service levels.
This opportunity would suit someone with strong SQL expertise and application support or systems analysis experience, ideally gained within insurance or other complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for existing system configurations and respond to day-to-day user queries
- Investigate and troubleshoot application, configuration and data issues
- Analyse support requests and deliver solutions in line with agreed SLA’s
- Gather and interpret business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Design and develop system fixes and enhancements using SQL Server / Oracle and application tools
- Conduct developer testing, peer reviews and support release deployments
- Produce high-quality technical documentation and test scripts
- Support QA and UAT testing activities and demonstrate system changes to users
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve issues effectively
- Assist with release management activities and client communications where required
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong SQL Server or Oracle database experience (minimum 2+ years)
- Advanced SQL skills, including:
- Stored Procedures
- Triggers, Views, Functions, Indexes
- Experience working in systems analysis, business analysis or application support roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise systems
- Ability to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Experience producing technical documentation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
