Wenzel’s was established in 1975 and has since become a favourite for locals across the North‑West and Greater London, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Hampshire and Surrey. We are expanding and looking for an experienced, passionate Shop Manager to join our team.

Pay & Hours
We offer a competitive pay range of £30,000 to £34,000 depending on experience. The salary for a part‑time Shop Manager is pro‑rata. A full‑time work week is 42 hours, but flexible hours such as 9:00 am – 3:00 pm can be discussed.
What We’re Looking For
* Experienced retail manager to oversee daily operations.
* Ability to ensure smooth running of the shop, drive and maximise sales, and minimise costs.
* Leadership skills to train and motivate a team with a hands‑on approach.
* Confident, enthusiastic, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
* Adaptable and able to solve problems in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Successfully manage and control day‑to‑day running of your own shop.
* Grow the business through increasing sales, controlling costs, and delivering profit.
* Work towards KPIs including wage percentage, average sale, stock, wastage, and energy targets.
* Lead, train, and develop your team to high standards.
* Performance‑manage your team as required.
* Ensure sandwich and food production standards are maintained at a required high level.
* Keep the shop clean, organised, and welcoming for customers.
* Maintain highest levels of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
* Deliver outstanding customer service within the shop.
* Recruit new team members within your shop when required.
* Receive and check daily deliveries.
* Manage the shop’s stock and produce.
* Maintain shop displays.
* Have excellent knowledge and understanding of the products.
* Handle cash, till operation, and banking.
* Open or close the shop when required.
