The Role We are seeking a proactive and academically confident Learning Support Assistant to join the team in Year 5. You will be supporting pupils across the classroom, helping to raise attainment in Maths, English (particularly grammar), and the wider KS2 curriculum. While the class includes pupils with additional needs, this role is not 1:1—instead, you will be a general LSA working closely with the class teacher to ensure that every child can access learning and make progress. Key Responsibilities • Support teaching and learning in Year 5, with a focus on core subjects. • Work with groups of pupils to reinforce learning and develop confidence. • Assist the teacher in managing classroom routines and creating an inclusive environment. • Contribute to the school community and uphold its values and safeguarding responsibilities. About You • Strong academic skills, particularly in KS2 English and Maths. • Proactive, adaptable, and able to use initiative. • Experience working with children in primary settings is highly desirable. • A genuine commitment to supporting children from diverse backgrounds to thrive academically and socially.
