Who you are?
The purpose of the IT Technical Architect is to define and deliver innovative, cost-effective, and efficient technical solutions.
Reporting into the Enterprise Architect this role will consult on and contribute on the design, delivery, and deployment of technical solutions. Taking ownership for the evolution of the technical architecture. The role will analyse technical issues and business problems, develop tailored designs, and help govern the solution design of specific business problems.

As the Technical Architect, you’ll get the opportunity to:
1. Develop technical solutions to meet agreed business requirements, as encapsulated within a change initiative.
2. Ensure the most effective use of the available technologies from the M Group Services estate
3. Represent technical change through corporate governance processes
4. Elaborate the risks, dependencies, scope, and scale of technical changes such that they are fully understood by relevant decision-making bodies.
5. Advise on the viability of technical solutions, considering other programmes of work and the complexities inherent in it.
6. Support Project Managers in delivery of projects, acting as a single point of contact for technical aspects
7. Contribute to the coordination of third parties, such as vendors and outsourced partners, to ensure the delivery of solutions across domains and technologies remains aligned.
8. Develop and maintain a level of technical expertise, knowledge of current best practice and industry trends
9. Contribute to the overall IT strategy and proactively identifying continuous improvement opportunities using industry best practice and emerging technologies
10. Manage communication up to MD level across business and technical areas both internally and with partners and vendors. To ensure technical ideas and solutions are effectively translated into the real world.
11. Provide key stake holders at a senior level the right information, recommendations, and proposals to allow decisions to be made
What you’ll bring?
12. Ability to communicate complex issues in a simple and concise manner with good presentation skills. Able to produce high quality technical documentation and design specifications.
13. Project management, business analysis and critical thinking skills
14. Minimum 5 years of experience in a Technical Architecture position.
15. Strong Technical Architecture background demonstrated through a proven track record of leading, influencing and creating architecture standards.
16. Strong understanding of Modern Workplace Technologies (M365, Power Platform, Azure)
17. Microsoft Enterprise Mobility and Security + Wider Security & Compliance experience
18. Extensive experience of Microsoft Azure
19. Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 design and deployments
20. Office 365 product suite (SharePoint / OneDrive / Exchange / Teams)
21. Intune Product family (SCCM, Intune, MDT, MDM, Autopilot)
22. Good understanding of mobility/BYO devices and services such as Android and iOS.
23. Microsoft certifications in M365, Power Platform, and Azure desirable
24. Management of third-party delivery agencies to scope, refine, and produce deliverables.
25. Experience of gathering and managing non-functional requirements for infrastructure and technical services
26. Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery
27. Experience with designing secure technical solutions that involve networks, storage, cloud (Microsoft Azure), servers and third-party data centres.
28. Experienced in implementing security solutions that are compliant to DPA/GDPR, cyber essentials, ISO 27001 within large enterprises.
