Employability Tutor – Adult and Community Learning Location: Dudley Borough Contract: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 37 hours per week Dudley Adult and Community Learning (ACL) Team provides high-quality learning opportunities for adults and families across the borough. We offer a diverse range of courses including English, Maths, ESOL, ICT, Health and Wellbeing, Family Learning, and Employability. These are delivered at our three welcoming and accessible Neighbourhood Learning Centres, as well as in various community venues. Our core mission is to support adults in gaining the skills and confidence needed to move into sustainable employment. We offer accredited qualifications, bespoke employability programmes, and personal development opportunities. Our robust Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) service proudly holds the Matrix Quality Standard, demonstrating our commitment to learner success. We are currently seeking a: Passionate and inspiring Employability Tutor We are looking for a highly motivated and suitably qualified individual to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the co-design and delivery of a dynamic and responsive employability curriculum that meets the needs of the local community and employers. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, high-quality sessions focused on employability skills, job-readiness, and personal development Support adult learners to progress into employment, further learning, or volunteering Collaborate with curriculum colleagues to develop innovative and locally responsive programmes Deliver teaching in a range of community venues, including daytime and evening sessions, with occasional weekend work Embed Information, Advice and Guidance into the learner journey to ensure meaningful progression Essential Criteria: A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent) Experience of delivering employability-focused courses to adult learners Up-to-date knowledge of the employment landscape, job market trends, and employer expectations Understanding of the Education Inspection Framework, RARPA and quality assurance processes Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills Proficient in the use of ICT for both teaching and administrative tasks At Dudley ACL, we pride ourselves on our supportive, inclusive, and learner-centred ethos.
