An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Drainage Engineer to join a well-regarded consultancy known for delivering innovative and sustainable transport planning solutions.
As a Senior Drainage Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering drainage and highway designs for new development projects. This role offers a competitive salary and benefits.

You will be responsible for:
1. Design technical solutions for highway and drainage systems to support S, S38, and S applications.
2. Perform a range of technical assessments for new developments.
3. Provide guidance and technical explanations to junior staff and clients.
4. Review technical documents, reports, and drawings produced by junior team members.
5. Present technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
6. Manage projects to ensure high-quality delivery on time and to specification.
7. Regularly update progress and collaborate with Project Managers to coordinate tasks.
8. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all project phases.
9. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and innovations in civil engineering.
What we are looking for:
10. Previously worked as a Drainage Engineer, Civil Engineer, Drainage Design Engineer, Cvil Infrastructure Engineer, Drainage and Highways Engineer or in a similar role.
11. Possess 2 years’ experience working in UK development-related infrastructure engineering.
12. Experience in preparing highways or drainage designs, particularly S38, S, and S processes.
13. Background in writing flood risk assessments or drainage strategies.
14. Proficient in drainage design principles and skilled in using Microdrainage and/or Causeway Flow software.
15. Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.
16. Understanding of relevant UK design standards, including DMRB, Manual for Streets, Sewers for Adoption, and national planning policies
17. Skilled in in AutoCAD and Civils 3D.
18. Full UK driving licence.
19. Right to work in the UK.
