Role Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pricing Analyst to join our Animal Health Portfolio Management Team. The portfolio team is responsible for delivering actionable data insight for a number of animal health brands including the market leader PetPlan and LV Pet Insurance. What You'll Do
* Assist in reviewing the expected impact and implementation of pricing updates – continually looking to improve data and processes.
* Work with different teams and stakeholders to understand their needs, data requirements and support new product structure and tariff development.
* Handle data from source to model rating changes and implement rating changes.
* Analyse data, interpret output and communicate results to a non‑technical audience.
* Regularly review pricing and underwriting monitors, ensuring key points are escalated.
* Proactively monitor underwriting footprint and recommend adjustments to footprint.
* Assist with BAU tasks including reporting.
Location
This role is based in our Guildford office and is a hybrid role; the expectation is to attend the office 40% of the time.
Salary
This role offers a Circa range between £35,000 to £40,000 per year, based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
Required Skills
* Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills when working with large volumes of complex data, with the ability to communicate findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
* Experience using analytics tools such as SQL, Alteryx, MS Excel, VBA, and PowerBI.
* Numerate A-levels (or equivalent) with a proven high degree of numerical ability and attention to detail.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work with conflicting data, identify emerging trends and act upon them.
* Stakeholder management experience and proven ability to build strong relationships across varied teams.
* Well‑developed organisational and planning skills.
Desired Skills
* Business acumen and understanding of the insurance sector – pet insurance knowledge desirable but not essential.
* Degree level qualification in a numerate discipline preferred.
* Experience using Radar is desirable but not essential.
* Responsible artificial intelligence usage.
