We are pleased to announce an internal opportunity for the role of Claims & Insurance Business Partner within the SHEQ Team.
This is a critical position supporting Metroline’s claims management, litigation oversight, and insurance handling. You’ll work across the business to manage a wide range of motor and liability claims, support investigations, lead on documentation for litigation, and engage directly with brokers, insurers, and legal teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage a diverse claims portfolio (up to £25,), including motor, liability, and incident claims
2. Prepare and submit litigation documents, obtaining approvals where required
3. Act as the key liaison between internal departments, external solicitors, and The Quest Partnership
4. Triage Vehicle Incident Reports (VIRs) and ensure drivers are supported in providing statements or attending court
5. Support audits, maintain compliance with legal and policy standards, and contribute to policy reviews
6. Analyse and report on claims performance, risks, and insurance metrics
7. Retrieve CCTV evidence, liaise with IT, and coordinate with senior stakeholders and SHEQ partners
8. Ensure accurate, confidential data handling and GDPR compliance at all time
Essential Skills
9. Previous motor claims handling experience (insurer, broker, or legal environment)
10. Strong working knowledge of transport legislation and risk/compliance processes
11. High level of personal organisation and autonomy in managing complex casework
12. Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to build relationships across functions
13. Ability to manage sensitive legal documentation and litigation preparation
14. Proven experience in proactively improving claims processes and reducing risks
Desirable Skills
15. Progress toward or completion of a CII professional qualification
16. Experience conducting audits or compliance reviews
17. Exposure to the transport or bus industry environment
18. Familiarity with CCTV, incident investigation, or Quest coordination
Hours of work
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
