Barnsley Council have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join the team based in Barnsley. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £47,181 - £50,269 per annum.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Operations Manager to lead the delivery of an efficient and effective domestic waste collection service. This is a key leadership role where you will shape and implement our service operating model, working collaboratively with stakeholders to modernise and continuously improve front-line services.

* Lead and inspire operational teams to deliver safe, customer-focused, and high-performing services.
* Embed core operating principles into day-to-day practice while maintaining flexibility to respond to emerging priorities using a risk-based approach.
* Drive performance improvement and value for money, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.
* Champion continuous improvement and innovation across the service, ensuring agility and responsiveness to changing needs.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience managing front-line or logistics-based services.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage change effectively.
* A track record of challenging performance and delivering results in a customer-focused environment.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build strong partnerships and manage stakeholder expectations.
