We are a well-established and growing womenswear fashion manufacturer based in North London, working with both in-house brands and leading high street retailers.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Garment Technologist with strong CAD pattern cutting expertise to join our technical team. This role is integral to our product development process and requires someone confident working across high street accounts, factory production, and technical execution at scale.
You will be joining a close-knit and collaborative team, so we are looking for someone who not only brings strong technical ability but also fits well within a supportive, fast-paced working environment.
The Role
This position places a strong emphasis on digital pattern cutting and technical development, alongside managing garment production from concept through to bulk.
You will work closely with design, production teams, and factories to ensure all garments are engineered correctly, commercially viable, and production-ready.
This is a full-time, office-based role in North London and requires daily on-site collaboration with the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead garment development with a strong focus on CAD pattern cutting and technical accuracy
* Create, adjust, and refine patterns in line with customer and production requirements
* Work closely with factories to ensure smooth transition from development into bulk production
* Manage and oversee factory processes, ensuring garments are produced to required standards
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure products align with costings and critical path timelines
* Attend and lead fit sessions, ensuring consistent fit across high street accounts
* Ensure all garments meet required construction, quality, and compliance standards
* Maintain clear and effective communication with overseas factories to support efficient production
About You (Essential Requirements)
* Extensive experience as a Senior Womenswear Garment Technologist within a supplier environment
* Strong CAD pattern cutting skills (Optitex preferred, or equivalent systems)
* Proven experience working with high street / supermarket retail accounts
* Solid understanding of factory production processes and experience working directly with overseas manufacturers
* Highly confident managing technical development from first sample through to bulk production
* Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and sealing processes
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
* A team player with a positive attitude who will integrate well into an established team
* Must be currently based in the UK with full right to live and work in the UK
* Must be able to work full-time on-site in our North London office (this is not a remote or hybrid role)
* Applicants must have recent UK-based experience working with high street fashion retailers and suppliers
