Position Summary The Director of Sales will lead the sales strategy for [Hotel Name], a distinguished property undergoing transformation from a 4-star hotel into a 5-star boutique destination. This role is responsible for driving revenue across rooms, F&B, meetings & events, and long-term corporate partnerships. The Director of Sales will position the property in both domestic and international markets, ensuring its successful relaunch at the luxury 5-star standard.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute the hotels commercial strategy in line with its repositioning to 5?.
Lead all sales initiatives across transient, corporate, group, MICE, and leisure segments.
Identify and target new markets, ensuring strong penetration in the luxury travel and corporate sectors.
Manage and grow relationships with travel agencies, OTAs, consortia, corporate accounts, and event planners.
Implement revenue management principles in collaboration with the Revenue Manager.
Business Development Drive new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and attending trade shows.
Negotiate and secure long-term corporate contracts and preferred partnerships.
Lead sales for meetings, incentives, conferences, weddings, and events.
Leverage the refurbishment to upsell premium experiences and packages.
Team Management & Collaboration Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team to exceed revenue targets.
Work closely with Marketing & PR to align campaigns with sales objectives.
Collaborate with F&B and Events teams to maximize cross-selling opportunities.
Reporting & Analysis Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports.
Monitor competitor performance and market trends, adapting strategies accordingly.
Track KPIs including RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and market share.
Requirements Proven experience as Director of Sales (or senior sales role) in a luxury hotel (4?/5?).
Strong network in the corporate, MICE, and luxury leisure markets.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Results-driven with a track record of exceeding revenue targets.
Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
Fluency in English (additional languages an advantage).
