Role Overview
We are recruiting for a Junior Resuscitation / IsSAFE Practitioner who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. We have an exciting development opportunity to join the Resuscitation Service in the role of a Junior Resuscitation / IsSAFE Practitioner. You will work as part of the team supporting the resuscitation improvement strategy for the Trust and delivering the IsSAFE programme (In-situ Simulation Applying Human Factors Evaluation) across the organisation's clinical areas, helping ensure that the service is able to develop to fulfil the needs of East and North Herts NHS Teaching Trust staff and maintain a safe environment for patients. You will work across the Trust, ensuring effective and safe delivery of care for patients, particularly in partnership with teams such as critical care outreach and the sepsis team with a drive to prevent patient deterioration. Working closely with the Non‑Medical Education team and the Medical Education team to deliver training and in‑situ simulation to all clinical staff employed by the Trust, you will support continued improvement in providing education across the Trust. Responsibilities
* Participate in the planning, delivery, organisation and evaluation of training and in‑situ simulation programmes delivered by the department.
* Manage day‑to‑day operation of the resuscitation service delivery with other members of the team.
* Provide training for the general public in both adult and paediatric life support when required.
* Respond to 2222 calls for deteriorating patients and cardiac arrests, supported by the Senior Resuscitation /IsSAFE Practitioner; support investigations into in‑patient cardiac arrest and deterioration.
* The post holder requires specialised knowledge and skills in the resuscitation of patients.
