We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Car Parking Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the parking area of a large Shopping Centre, assisting customers with all their Parking needs, ensuring the safety and security of parked vehicles, and providing exceptional customer service. Information: Position: Security Car Parking Attendant Location: Ealing, London Pay Rate: £14.38 per hour Hours: Average 35 hours per week Shifts: Days - 4 on 2 off Job Requirements: Previous experience in a customer facing service is essential. Experience within a parking management environment or a similar role is an advantage. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic knowledge of security and safety procedures. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Must have an excellent command of English Language & good IT Skills Reliable, Responsible and Punctual A friendly, professional, courteous and outgoing character You must always take pride in your appearance, ensuring immaculate presentation Flexible in the approach to daily and additional duties First Aid qualification & a SIA Licence are essential Diplomatic, tactful, flexible, professional attitude and adapt at working under pressure Flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Outdoor and indoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions. Duties to include: Customer Assistance: Engage with customers upon arrival and departure. Assist customers throughout their parking journey. Provide any directions and information about the parking facility and surrounding areas Provide guidance to customers on how to address any discrepancies or issues with payment equipment/parking tickets. Parking Management: Manage traffic within the parking facility to ensure efficient use of space. Monitor and manage the flow of vehicles to prevent congestion. Ensure that vehicles are parked in designated areas and follow the Car Parking Policy. Safety and Security: Conduct regular patrols of the parking area to ensure security. Report and manage any suspicious activity or safety hazards to the Security Operations Centre. Assist in the implementation of any emergency procedures if necessary. Machines, Ticketing and Payments: Ensure Payment Machines are operational at all times, perform basic maintenance and replenish stationary as required. Issue Parking Enforcement Notices (PCNs) in line with the Car Parking Policy as required. Assist with cash collections and maintain accurate records accordingly. Maintenance and Cleanliness: Ensure all parking areas are clean and free of debris. Report any maintenance issues, such as broken barriers or malfunctioning equipment to the Security Operations Centre. Customer Service: Address any customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally. Provide excellent customer service to enhance the overall parking experience.
