Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and youll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office – Inverness, Aberdeen or Perth.
Salary:£42,600 - £64,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role
As our SHW Reporting & Insights Lead, you will play an important role in shaping a high-quality Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHW) Management Information service. You will develop and deliver insight through data visualisation and analytics tools, including Power BI, Fabric, Data Warehouse solutions, AI, EcoOnline and other SHW data sources. Your work will support informed decision making across the business, ensuring our reporting evolves in line with our strategic needs. Youll also lead ongoing improvement of existing dashboards, create new and engaging reporting products, and work closely with internal communications to support clear, timely and effective SHW messaging.
You will
* Design, build and continuously enhance the SHW reporting suite, making use of up to date technologies to deliver a high quality, effective solution.
* Manage data mining and collection processes or systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency and strong data integrity.
* Work with external vendors to maintain and enhance SSEN Transmission’s electronic SHW recording and reporting systems, including developing and refining in‑App reporting to support mobile SHW data capture.
* Provide functional coordination across the SHW Coordinator community, ensuring suitable contingency through direct and indirect reports to maintain the effectiveness of SHW reporting systems and communications.
* Collaborate with internal communications teams and SHW stakeholders to plan, coordinate and share SHW communications that are clear, consistent and aligned with the SSEN Transmission SHW Strategy, Management System and wider SSE standards.
You have
* Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic environment, with strong analytical skills and the ability to collect, organise, analyse and present information with accuracy and attention to detail.
* A solid understanding of data reporting tools, with knowledge of statistical analysis and predictive modelling using a range of software solutions.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, advanced skills in Excel and Power BI, and awareness or experience of Databricks, Fabric and Minitab (preferred).
* A sound understanding of Safety, Health, Wellbeing and Environmental reporting requirements.
* A proactive and organised approach, able to manage your workload and handle competing priorities effectively.
