An exciting opportunity for a Community Nursery Nurse post has arisen to support the Coventry Health Visiting Teams. Working with challenging and vulnerable families in the city requires respect and sensitivity at all times using suitable communication skills to support parents in caring for their children.
You will develop a therapeutic relationship with clients to promote a trusting relationship, respecting the diverse needs of our community. You will support clinics and promote positive health messages. You will be carrying out Developmental Reviews and referring children into additional services depending on need. Behaviour management is an essential skill in delivering positive parenting with an understanding of culture, beliefs and mental health and well being.
The Community Nursery Nurse will work both independently and as part of the health visiting team to promote positive outcomes for children and young people. The main duties of the role include carrying out developmental assessments and supporting parents/carers by offering advice and support/care interventions on a wide range of health issues; including toileting, bedwetting, behaviour management, and parenting advice, including facilitating parenting groups.
My working pattern is Monday to Friday 0900-1700.
