Hays Belfast are working in partnership with one of Northern Ireland's largest housing associations in their search for a Maintenance Officer (Water Hygiene). This organisation provides care and support to over 30,000 homes across Northern Ireland along with a development programme to deliver high quality sustainable homes.
Your new role
This is a permanent job based in Holywood, Co. Down where you will report to the Building Safety Manager and have the responsibility to oversee and co-ordinate the water-hygiene service across response, planned, servicing, cyclical maintenance, and adaptations to and the refurbishment of existing properties.
Some of the key duties include:
* Oversee and co-ordinate the water hygiene servicing programme for all Radius buildings (Legionella Risk Assessments, Planned & Response Maintenance & remedial works etc).
* Undertake site inspections to check on the quality and service of works.
* Lead on the Water Hygiene weekly compliance data and incorporate into the Compliance Report.
* Complete pre, post, estate and void property inspections and issue works orders.
* Check and authorise invoices for work undertaken, controlling and managing costs.
* Monitor and report on expenditure against budgeted amounts as directed.
What you'll need to succeed
To be eligible for this position you must meet the following criteria:
Level five qualification (e.g., HND) or above in a related discipline such as Estate Management, Building Surveying, Construction, Engineering with 18 months' relevant experience within a construction or maintenance environment.
OR
Five years' relevant experience (within the last 8 years) within a construction or maintenance environment.
AND
Experience of delivering water hygiene services in line with The HSENI Approved Code of Practice: Legionnaires' disease: The control of Legionella bacteria in water systems (L8).
Full UK driving licence with access to a suitable form of transport.

Salary - £33,366 - £37,938 per annum
Hours - 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
