Job Title: Site Manager – Highways & Civil Engineering Location: Northamptonshire Start Date: Immediate To manage site operations, including the fulfilment of the role of Principal Contractor under CDM in relation to scheme delivery on the North Northamptonshire Council and West Northamptonshire Council network. Key Tasks and Accountabilities: Reporting to the Senior Delivery Manager. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Overseeing fulfilment of the duties of the Principal Contractor under CDM and NEC conditions of contract. * Ensuring the 5 SHE Basics, Training and Competence, Risk Assessment for every task, Induction for every worker, Safe System of Work and Point of Work Risk Assessment are embedded for all works. * Ensuring effective implementation of the Construction Phase Plan including compliance with specific requirements (e.g. site inductions and site rules).r * Overseeing management and control of all site operations including monitoring the progress of site operations and taking appropriate action (including the issue of instructions) to avoid over-run. * Organising and chairing regular meetings with the contractor to review progress and programme and participating in Monthly Progress Meetings with senior personnel from the client, contractor, and delivery team. * Verifying working practices comply with the relevant Quality Plans, ...
