Milk Education is seeking a motivated and creative Year 1 Teacher to join one of our partner schools in L4. This is a warm, supportive environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.
✨ The Role
Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: November
Contract: Temporary (week-to-week) with the potential to progress into a longer-term role
This opportunity is perfect for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop their skills in a nurturing, forward-thinking school.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Year 1 across the Primary Curriculum.
2. Support pupils’ academic and personal development through creative, inspiring teaching.
3. Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
4. Track pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to support continued growth.
5. Manage classroom behaviour effectively and calmly.
6. Work collaboratively with staff and parents to support each child’s success.
What We’re Looking For
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE with QTS.
8. Strong understanding of the Primary Curriculum, particularly for Year 1.
9. Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
10. A creative, reflective, and adaptable approach to teaching.
11. Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
