Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Coordinating daily restaurant management operations alongside the Restaurant Manager
* Delivering superior food and beverage service and maximizing member satisfaction
* Responding efficiently and accurately to restaurant customer complaints
* Coordinating front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations
* Organising and supervising shifts
* Appraising staff performance and providing feedback to improve productivity
* Estimating future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
* Ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
* Managing the restaurant’s image and suggesting ways to improve it
* Controlling operational costs and identifying measures to cut waste
* Creating detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
* Recommending ways to increase productivity and revenues
* Training new and current employees on proper member service practices
* Implementing policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
Qualifications
* Proven work experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role
* Extensive food and beverage knowledge, including ability to recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and staff
* Familiarity with restaurant management software such as OpenTable and Micro
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent customer service skills
* Fluent in English
* Organised and reliable
* Ability to work and build relationships within a diverse team
* Computer literacy in Opera, Micros and Adaco is advantageous
Working Hours & Transport
* Varying shift times across the seven days, including evenings, weekends, opens and closes
* Average 45 hours per week
* Subsidised transport rate offered from: Chipping Norton (OX7) & Banbury (OX15 & OX16)
