GSL Education are seeking a skilled SEND Secondary Teacher to join a secondary school in Derby from September 2025. This role offers the opportunity to deliver tailored lessons, support students’ academic and personal development, and create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment. As a SEND Secondary Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver engaging lessons designed to meet the needs of students with SEND across secondary curriculum subjects. Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development, fostering confidence and independence. Adapt teaching strategies to ensure all students are fully included and supported. Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and interventions. Work collaboratively with colleagues, SENCOs, and parents to support holistic pupil development. Requirements for SEND Secondary Teacher: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory. Experience teaching secondary students with SEND. Strong knowledge of SEND strategies and interventions. Excellent classroom management, organisational, and communication skills. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
