Overview
Join to apply for the Warehouse Team Manager role at GXO Logistics, Inc. at our Sainsbury’s site in Sherburn in Elmet. This is a multi-temperature environment covering ambient, produce and chill and frozen chambers. You will lead and coach your team to create a great culture with a strong work ethic. This is a full-time, permanent position, working any 5 days from 7 on rotating shifts 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00.
What you’ll do
* Lead operational activities for the shift to achieve the work plan on time and in line with budget and KPIs.
* Drive performance through coaching and performance management.
* Review shift performance and identify areas for improvement.
* Lead the team on shift to motivate high performance, develop engagement and good communication.
* Manage warehouse training requirements and function.
What you need to succeed
* Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment (ideally a food operation).
* Ability to lead continuous improvements projects with strong planning skills.
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement.

Salary up to £36,000.00 per annum and 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays).
