Hours: 08:15 - 16:00
Daily Rate: £190 - £230 (Based on experience/Scale)
The Opportunity
Are you an inspiring educator looking to lead a class through their final term of Key Stage 1? Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Class Teacher for a high-achieving, supportive primary school in Crawley.
This is a full-time, long-term role starting immediately after the Easter break and continuing until the end of the academic year. You will be taking over a settled Year 2 class, guiding them through their transition toward Key Stage 2 and ensuring they finish the year with confidence and academic success.
Key Responsibilities
* Full Classroom Leadership: Take on the full remit of a class teacher, including planning, delivering, and assessing the Year 2 curriculum.
* Assessment & Moderation: Manage end-of-year assessments and report on pupil progress, ensuring every child meets their potential.
* Inclusive Practice: Differentiate lessons to support a mixed-ability cohort, including students with EAL and SEN requirements.
* Parental Engagement: Maintain strong communication with parents and carers regarding student development and transition.
What We Are Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential. We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs.
* KS1 Expertise: A deep understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and effective phonics delivery.
* Strong Classroom Management: The ability to foster a nurturing yet disciplined learning environment.
