DP World are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to join our brand new multi-user site based in Coventry (Segro Park). The purpose of the role is to lead the operational area and manage the development, monitoring and adherence to quality and productivity metrics on site alongside the Site Manager
About the role:
1. Responsible for the implementation and achievement of agreed targets in the operational area. Provide continuous improvement in operations processes. Monitoring targets, setting and following up on actions in case of non-achievement of the set KPIs
2. Leading the operational area in cooperation with the Supervisors and Team Leaders
3. Ensure Quality control & improvements whilst meeting costs and contractual KPIs
4. Implementing and enforcing all processes in the operations area, as well as monitoring compliance and adjusting when changes are needed.
5. Responsible for the implementation and achievement of agreed targets in the operational area. Provide continuous improvement in operations processes. Monitoring targets, setting, and following up on actions in case of non-achievement of the set KPIs
6. You will manage the development, monitoring and adherence to quality and productivity metrics on site alongside the QEHS Manager and Business Controller.
7. You are the key contact person for all customer-specific issues related to operations.
8. Responsible For Inventory & Admin Functions, Ensuring Controlled Cost In line with Budget.
9. Leading site Continuous improvement agenda across Kaizens & JDI’s
Your Key Skills:
10. Previous experience working as an Ops Manager within logistics or warehousing
11. Familiar with relevant software and tools, including Microsoft office and WMS systems
12. Strong leadership skills combined with excellent communication
13. Previous experience of working in a multi-user operation or in launching new business would be highly desirable
14. Ability to guide and motivate teams effectively
15. Ability to analyse issues and provide effective solutions
16. Being able to prioritize tasks and meeting deadlines
17. Managing resources, schedules and processes
18. Attention to detail – ensuring accuracy and quality of work
19. Having flexibility in handling changing situations and unexpected challenges
20. Being dynamic and resilient
