JOB – Graduate Design Engineer (Furniture Design)
LOCATION – Leeds
TERM – Permanent
SALARY – £25,000 to £30,000 per annum (plus benefits)
My client is a specialist manufacturer of bespoke furniture, seeking a Graduate Design Engineer to join their team in Leeds.
The Graduate Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Furniture Design, or a related discipline
• Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, or similar)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Understanding of furniture design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Eagerness to learn and develop within the company
The Graduate Design Engineer role will involve:
• Supporting the design and development of bespoke furniture and fitted wardrobes
• Producing 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for client approval and production
