Overview
Principal Clinical Psychologist (Band 8b) – Adult Mental Health Development Stepped care Initiative (18.75hrs). Based in Central. This is an opportunity to help increase access to psychological therapies across stepped care mental health services in North Wales, taking a leadership role in psychological therapies development, training, supervision and supporting multidisciplinary staff in increasing access initiatives across stepped care mental health services including primary care mental health.
You will receive professional leadership and support from the AMH Clinical Psychology & Psychological Services, with links to the School of Psychology and the DClinPsych Department at the University of Wales, Bangor. Main duties of the job
The post holder will benefit from BCUHB-wide professional links across North Wales within Clinical Psychology, with opportunities for research and clinical networking both in North Wales and All Wales. You will be well supported and mentored, with opportunities for ongoing peer support and advancement. We are looking for an experienced, resilient, and highly motivated Clinical Psychologist to be part of this initiative within BCUHB. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications And/or Knowledge
Essential criteria
* Registration with HCPC as a Clinical Psychologist
* Good Honours degree in Psychology. Eligibility for BPS Chartered status
Desirable criteria
* Advanced training in research design and methodology
* Record of publications in peer reviewed or academic or professional journals and/or books
Experience
Essential criteria
* Appropriate experience of working as a qualified Clinical Psychologist, including substantial supervised post-qualification expertise and experience within adult mental health
Aptitude And Abilities
Essential criteria
* Ability to use high levels of interpersonal and communication skills, empathy and reassurance, to convey and receive highly complex/sensitive information effectively in emotive situations, and maintain professionalism
* Ability to prepare and present clinical and academic material for lecturing/training purposes
