Retail Security Officer – Amberstone Security

Base Pay Range
Hourly Rate: £12.82
Responsibilities
* Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity.
* Assess and identify vulnerabilities, and work proactively to minimise risk.
* Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable.
* Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid causing distress.
* Complete colleague and contractor searches as required in line with customer policy.
* Digitally report incidents and use tablets/phones for daily activity planning.
* Provide detailed and legible incident reports to assist the client and local authorities.

12‑hour shifts pro‑rated.

7 days, 3 days, 4 nights, 07:00‑19:00 / 19:00‑07:00.

The Person
To be an effective Security Officer, you must be a confident communicator, welcoming and patient with customers, and able to handle conflict in a professional manner.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Valid SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence.
* Previous retail security experience is an advantage but not essential; full training will be provided.
* Applicants must be able to provide a full 5‑year checkable work or back‑to‑school history and bring right‑to‑work documents and a recent proof of address.
