The Role
The Commercial Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of customer implementations and commercial projects within the Professional Services team. This role combines structured project leadership with strong commercial awareness — ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, while maximising customer value and business outcomes.
You'll act as the central point of coordination across customers, consultants, and internal teams, taking ownership of governance, financial performance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement throughout the full project lifecycle.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead end-to-end delivery of software implementation and commercial projects
* Own project scope, timelines, budgets, and commercial performance
* Build and manage detailed project plans within Jira, acting as a champion for best practice usage
* Drive sprint planning, backlog management, and delivery tracking in line with Agile or PRINCE2 methodologies
* Facilitate project governance including RAID logs, status reporting, and steering updates
* Manage customer stakeholders, ensuring expectations are aligned and proactively addressed
* Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and change requests to protect commercial outcomes
* Monitor revenue, margins, and billable utilisation across projects
* Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to ensure smooth software delivery
* Support pre-sales and pipeline planning where required, providing delivery input and effort estimates
* Continuously improve project delivery frameworks, tools, and reporting standards
What You'll Bring
* Demonstrated experience delivering commercial software implementation projects
* Strong experience in SaaS environments, with the ability to quickly understand complex applications
* Jira knowledge - comfortable configuring boards, workflows, dashboards, and reporting (Jira champion mindset)
* Experience working within Agile and/or PRINCE2 frameworks (certification desirable but not essential)
