DoorCo in Macclesfield is growing, and we are currently seeking a Despatch Operative to join our busy Despatch team. Our induction and in-house training will support your skill development and offer you the opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a values based working environment. The role of the despatch operative to is to safely and correctly pallet customer orders according to the system. Each door needs to be palleted according to the despatch SOP and securely banded. Also, the operator must work on the Wrapping machine, ensuring the doors are wrapped and protected and have all ancillary items attached i.e. paint pots and drip bars. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Palletising customer orders in accordance with the system and using the barcodes throughout the process. This could be doors or other adhoc items Operating the Robo wrapper in accordance with SOPs Moving of Vehicles if required and if appropriate licenses are held Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Follow all H&S instructions with an understanding of COSHH & PPE Ensure proper ventilation and safe handling of chemicals and materials. Maintaining production flow by use of barcode scanning system and appropriate job selection. Maintain a very clean and organised work area at all times. Other ad-hoc duties as required The usual standard working hours are 08:00-17:00 Monday - Friday.
