Post 1: Oban, Child Health (1 Session, 4 Hours per week)
Applications are invited for the post of Salaried General Practitioner for Vulnerable Children within Child Health Services, Argyll & Bute. The post holder will undertake health assessments of children / young people (mainly up to 16 years of age), who are vulnerable as a result of disabilities, chronic ill health, emotional and behavioural difficulties, social disadvantage including those who have been abused or are looked after or accommodated by Argyll and Bute Council. The role includes acting as Medical Advisor to the Argyll and Bute Adoption and Fostering Panel. The successful candidate will provide also leadership through the development of governance systems within general practices to ensure best outcomes for the most vulnerable children and their families in the local area.
Applicants must have MRCGP or equivalent and be eligible for inclusion on the Primary Care Performers List for NHS Highland.
