We are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support two busy manufacturing sites, ensuring that all plant, machinery, and equipment operate to the highest possible standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in driving a culture of continuous improvement while maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
What you’ll be doing:
* Managing and executing preventative maintenance schedules across all production machinery.
* Working collaboratively with Production, Facilities, Safety and Engineering teams to carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance activities.
* Ensuring full compliance with regulatory, warranty, legal, insurance and quality policy requirements.
* Overseeing critical spares, tooling and servicing needs to minimise downtime and support operational resilience.
* Liaising with approved subcontract service providers and ensuring all suppliers meet company approval standards.
* Reacting swiftly and safely to machinery breakdowns to reduce downtime and maintain high efficiency levels.
* Identifying improvement opportunities through equipment performance monitoring and recommending new projects or working practices.
* Prioritising daily maintenance activities in agreement with the Planning Lead or Production Manager.
What we’re looking for:
* Previous multi-skilled engineering experience, ideally with an electrical bias and holding an 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
* Strong background in breakdown response and preventative maintenance (PPM).
* Skilled in PLC fault diagnostics with solid electrical fault-finding capabilities.
* Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and CNC cutting machinery and weld robots would be viewed advantageously.
* Experience of working on overhead cranes and systems.
* Highly self-motivated with strong initiative and a flexible approach.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the business.
This is a permanent position with a salary guide up to £50,000pa dependent on experience, working a dayshift (flexi hours) with additional employee benefits to include private healthcare, generous pension scheme, life assurance cover, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, regular training & development opportunities, and access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
