Job Description
Our client, a leading manufacturing organisation with a commitment to excellence in their industry are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team and contribute to the maintenance and repair of their production machinery.
Responsibilities:
* Perform general proactive and reactive maintenance duties to minimise downtime.
* Communicate details of unscheduled downtime to the Maintenance Lead, offering solutions.
* Participate in troubleshooting and problem resolution activities.
* Contribute to continuous process improvements.
* Maintain regular communication with the machine foreman and other team leaders to address any relevant issues.
* Complete routine maintenance schedules according to the maintenance plan.
* Prioritise production stoppages over daily duties.
* Install electrical components as required.
* Follow cleanliness standards and maintain a safe work environment.
* Identify opportunities for improvements in production lines, machinery, and operations.
* Ensure accurate and timely completion of all necessary documentation.
* Stay updated with knowledge and advancements in the field.
* Conduct electrical tests and diagnostic checks.
* Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
* Time served Electrical engineer or City & Guilds certificate (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering including 17th Edition.
* Strong problem analysis and fault-finding skills, with the ability to read schematic diagrams.
* Excellent knowledge of electrical control systems.
* Proficient in PLC fault finding.
* Attention to detail and good organisational skills.
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
* Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
* Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
* Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Working Pattern: Continental shift - 4 on 4 off
Salary: upto £51,000
