Overview

Shaw healthcare (Group) Ltd is hiring a Nurse to join Homefield House in Basingstoke. The role involves providing high-quality care to elderly service users, including those with Alzheimer's, dementia, Parkinson’s or other clinical diagnoses. The successful candidate will work with a team to ensure service users receive compassionate, person-centred care using the latest care technology. Homefield House is a specialist care centre providing long and short stay dementia nursing care.


Base pay range

Nurse at Homefield House - £21.63 per hour

Salary: £21.63 per hour. Working Hours: 24 hours per week. 07:45-20:15 (including alternative weekends).


Responsibilities

* Assessing patients\' health and care needs and developing care plans
* Administering medication and monitoring service users\' responses
* Providing nursing care, including wound care and palliative care
* Liaising with other healthcare professionals to coordinate personalised care
* Supporting service users with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
* Providing emotional support to service users and their families
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
* Working within the Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines to ensure high standards of care
* Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
* Participating in the induction and ongoing training of new staff members


Qualifications and Experience

* NMC registered nurse
* Experience working in elderly care, including caring for patients with Alzheimer\'s and other dementia-related conditions
* Knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Ability to work independently and use own initiative
* Commitment to continuing professional development
