Indirect Tax Compliance - Operations Delivery Manager
About the role
Join our friendly and supportive Tax Compliance team as an Indirect Tax Compliance - Operations Delivery Manager. You'll help us deliver technology-enabled compliance and integrated advisory services across an unrivalled range of prestigious clients.
You'll join a creative and collaborative team within our Compliance Services team in Birmingham. This role is ideal for an individual with an interest in developing their experience in indirect tax compliance and pursuing a career within an established team.
What your days will look like:
1. Review draft indirect tax returns using specialized Indirect Tax Technologies.
2. Allocate and manage a client portfolio, ensuring high-quality tax returns while cultivating strong client relationships.
3. Liaise with clients and PwC network members to guarantee timely delivery of services.
4. Participate in global compliance projects, including overseas registrations and support during audits.
5. Process client financial data with technology, reviewing exception reports for accuracy.
6. Manage deliverables to meet compliance obligations, including reviewing VAT technical aspects.
7. Coach and mentor junior team members, staying updated on legislative changes impacting VAT compliance.#
This role is for you if:
8. You have good VAT technical knowledge, with EMEA VAT knowledge and experience preferred.
9. You possess accounting knowledge and have previous experience in a VAT-related role.
10. Possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, along with self-organizational skills.
11. Ambitious with a strong desire to succeed, committed to team working.
12. Able to work within strict timetables and deadlines, driven to improve processes.
