This Associate Director job role is a managerial position within the business, requiring candidates to provide Project Advisory services to leading clients in the planning, delivery, review, and turnaround of complex live projects and programmes.You will manage the implementation and recovery of complex live projects, acting in accordance with stakeholders' management of time and budget.The role of Associate Director Project Advisory involves providing services on live projects, including project review, recovery, and stakeholder management.Responsibilities and DutiesAs an Associate Director, you will report to the Director and be responsible for managing one or multiple client assignments depending on size and complexity. Your duties will include:Managing Project Advisory services to leading clients in planning, delivery, review, and turnaround of complex projects across sectors such as retail, residential, O&G, energy, manufacturing, and public infrastructure.Supervising multi-sector advisory teams in developing, implementing, and recovering large-scale projects, including managing relationships with consultants, contractors, and clients.Analyzing prospective and ongoing capital projects for compliance with stakeholder management of time, cost, and quality objectives.Identifying risks in large-scale complex projects and delivering practical mitigation strategies.Advising on governance and contract structures, analyzing progress at key milestones, and providing detailed status briefings to project participants, executives, investors, and government agencies.Reviewing external client issues on problematic projects, advising on contractual positions, and offering strategic dispute resolution advice.Applying analytical skills to construction claims work and adopting flexible approaches to problems and client requests.Providing claims consultancy advice on live contracts and distressed projects to a high professional standard.Desired Skills and ExperienceExperience in managing and leading professional teams delivering services and completing live projects successfully.Experience analyzing cost and schedule progress to aid project recovery and review.Experience with specialist projects and programs focused on development and optimization of client capital projects.Experience in developing client relationships and organizational success.Previous experience within the “Big Four” management consultancies (PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG) in live project recovery is highly desirable.Ability to lead internal and external stakeholders effectively.Familiarity with contract forms such as JCT, NEC, and FIDIC.Strong report writing skills.Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.Qualifications/Educational RequirementsAt least 10+ years of experience in a premium consultancy environment handling large-scale, complex projects.Degree in a relevant subject such as Quantity Surveying.A postgraduate qualification like MSc / LLM in Construction Law is advantageous but not essential.Relevant professional memberships (RICS, CIArb, ICES, etc.).Employing Company Overview and ProfileThe employer is one of the UK's largest construction consultancies, specializing in construction claims and disputes.
