Purpose of the Quantity Surveyour role:
The Quantity Surveyor plays a crucial role in the construction and project management process, ensuring accurate cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control throughout the lifecycle of a construction project. This professional collaborates closely with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to optimise project costs and deliver successful outcomes. The Quantity Surveyor's responsibilities encompass cost analysis, risk assessment, and contractual management, contributing to the overall efficiency and profitability of construction projects.
Main duties and responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyour
Client Valuations.
Monthly client meetings.
Collating on-site information for clients.
Variation pricing etc.
Handover Packs with Technical Coordinator & site manager
Completing monthly accruals for accounts cost reports, then completing CVR prior to deadline.
Procuring all subcontract and labour only trades & comparing packages prior to placing orders
