Overview
We are looking for an exceptional Retail Sales and Operations Manager who will be responsible for the leadership of our team in Cornwall, located in Falmouth. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a can-do attitude and a proactive, positive outlook, with a passion for delivering customer service and the WFF’s unique “good fashioned service” ethic. Wiltshire Farm Foods, part of the apetito group, is the UK’s largest ready-meal supplier, cooking and delivering over 330 different frozen meals across the UK primarily to the elderly, their family members and healthcare professionals. The Retail Sales and Operations Manager will own their territory and treat it as their own business, aiming to produce outstanding results by leveraging national support while strengthening local relationships with customers and the community.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have four clear responsibilities, described in the Wiltshire Farm Foods triangle of success:
* Happy Teams - Good Old-Fashioned Service
Lead by example, support and enable your frontline team.
* Empower and enable the team to delight customers and deliver excellent service.
* Develop the team to talk passionately and knowledgeably about our food.

* Costs of Local Distribution (COLD)
Deliver the agreed target for the Cost of Local Distribution within the local depot; focus on labour, vehicle, depot and local marketing costs as main levers; review monthly with Regional Manager; ensure actions to stay on target are executed.
* Growing Sales
Manage local customer relationships while national campaigns drive results. Achieve sales targets through the team; implement national campaigns and CRM activities; deliver local growth initiatives (e.g., sheltered housing, CSA training).
* Community Engagement
Engage with the local community to support sales growth (e.g., community organisations, hospitals, healthcare professionals).
Essential Experience, Skills, and Abilities
* Establishes exceptional relationships with customers.
* Demonstrable experience of delivering sales and profitability targets with a focus on high service standards.
* Experience leading a team, building engagement, and developing talent with a hands-on approach to day-to-day operations.
* Ability to interpret data to identify key levers for success.

Desirable Experience, Skills, and Abilities
* Retail, care, hospitality, or own business experience.
* Experience implementing and complying with Health & Safety processes.

Qualifications

You must have held a UK manual driving licence for at least 2 years.
