Senior Contract Manager Location- London or Glasgow Salary from £57,600 with up to 15% Annual Bonus and Single Healthcare Permanent Help us create a better future, quicker As Senior Contract Manager, you will assist on negotiating, securing and managing contracts required by the Construction function in the execution of O ffshore W indfarms. This role will also have a reporting line in the project, generally the P roject C onstruction M anager. What you’ll be doing You will focus on the delivery of large-scale O ffshore W ind projects, working with multinational joint venture partners and C ontractors to ensure that our position is suitably protected in all agreements. Establish ing and lead ing a team of experts to define contracting strategies and plans, you will be required to o versee and support the tendering, negotiation and management of construction contracts. Work ing closely with the supply chain to maintain high-level relationships with suppliers and contractors, you will e nsure effective and value-adding relationships with suppliers to enhance our ability to deliver against our business strategy. Frequent travel to various locations in UK and overseas may be during the development, contracting and delivery phases of the project F unctions and activities to ensure you will effectively manage contracts, support project delivery and contribute to the overall success of O ffshore W indfarm projects will consist of the following: Contract Strategy Development Y ou will d evelop and implement contracting strategies and plans for the O ffshore W indfarm project i n close coordination with project construction manager. You will also e nsure that strategies align with overall business objectives and project requirements Tendering and Negotia ting Y ou will l ead the tendering process, preparing and issu ing tender documents, n egotiat ing contract ual terms and conditions with suppliers and contractors to secure favourable agreements Contract Management Y ou will o versee the execution and administration of contracts, en sur ing that project milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget. Monitor ing contract performance to ensure compliance with terms and conditions, you will also manage contract variations, claims and disputes effectively Teamwork Y ou will p rovide guidance and support to C ontract M anagers and other team member s, f oster ing a collaborative and high-performance team environment Stakeholder Collaboration Y ou will c oordinate with internal departments ( e.g Operations, Technical Services, Project Support) to ensure comprehensive input into contracts whilst m aintain ing effective relationships with external stakeholders including suppliers, contractors, joint venture partners and regulatory bodies Supply Chain Management Y ou will w ork closely with the supply chain to maintain high-level relationships with suppliers and contractors, e nsur ing the supply chain is aligned with project requirements and business strategy Risk Management Y ou will i dentify and mitigate risks associated with contract execution and project delivery whilst d evelop ing contingency plans to address potential issues and challenges Compliance and Reporting You will e nsure all contracts comply with legal, regulatory and company standard s. You will also p repare and present regular reports on contract performance and project progress to senior management Continuous Improvement You will i dentify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in contract management. You will s tay updated with industry trends and developments to enhance contract management practices What y ou’ll b ring To be successful in this role, you wil l be educated to Degree level and possess a c ommercially orientated qualification with strong technical preferences. With your e xperience in Project Contract and M anagement, you will be IT literate with the ability to operate MS Office systems and other IT based project management software. Being f lexible to travel around Europe, you will have a p roven track record delivering complex multi-discipline projects. Previous work e xperience s within O ffshore sector, Energy sector or within Onshore Construction are advantageous.
