Responsibilities
:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
1. Develop and implementprehensive financial strategies aligned with organisational goals and objectives.
2. Drive financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling.
3. Analyse financial performance and provide insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
Financial Operations Management:
4. Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting.
5. Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensurepliance with regulatory requirements.
6. Optimise financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
7. Prepare regular financial reports, statements, and dashboards for management and stakeholders.
8. Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to support operational performance and financial sustainability.
9. Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to regulatory authorities and funding partners.
Risk Management andpliance:
10. Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard the organisation's financial health.
11. Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards to ensurepliance in all financial activities.
12. Lead internal and external audits, liaising with auditors and addressing audit findings as necessary.
Team Leadership and Development:
13. Provide strong leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
14. Mentor and coach finance staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and performance.
15. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and promotes teamwork.
Qualifications and Skills:
16. Qualified Accountant either holding an ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent.
17. Proven experience (2+ years) in financial management.
18. Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
19. Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of effectively managing teams and driving results.
20. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpretplex financial data and provide strategic rmendations.
21. Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.
22. Exceptionalmunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
23. Strategic mindset with a focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and organisational growth.
