A leading UK-based engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong expertise in PLC programming, Building Management Systems (BMS), and control systems to deliver technical projects across multiple sites. This business operates in a highly regulated, electrically intensive environment, delivering energy-efficient infrastructure upgrades, building services improvements, and AHU control optimisation. The role is predominantly remote, based in Nottingham, with occasional site visits to other sites. Key Responsibilities: Deliver projects across multiple sites involving BMS, AHUs, electrical distribution, and control systems. Design, configure, and commission PLC and automation systems for building services and industrial applications. Ensure compliance with electrical standards and regulations, working with subcontractors as needed. Drive energy efficiency initiatives, optimisation of building services, and performance monitoring. Manage project programmes, costs, and on-site activities when required. Work independently in a remote-first environment, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. Key Requirements: Proven experience in electrical engineering, M&E, or industrial control systems projects, preferably involving BMS and AHU systems. Strong hands-on experience with PLC programming, control systems, and electrical systems. Recognised electrical qualifications (essential). Knowledge of energy conservation and building services optimisation. Experience managing subcontractors, budgets, and project timelines. Confident working autonomously, remotely, and during occasional site visits. Contract Details: Outside IR35 £280 - £350 a day (depending on experience) Minimum 6-month contract with scope to extend Remote-first, Nottingham-based role with occasional site travel
