Job Description

This role is a new Bid Manager hire for a market leading legal firm, reporting into an experienced Head of Business Development. The Bid Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end bid processes across multiple sectors and industries.

Our client is a well-established legal firm based in Leeds. They are a mid-sized organization with a broad customer base, known for their commitment to delivering excellent service and fostering a supportive working environment.


Role Responsibilities

* Lead the bid process from qualification through to contract award.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
* Deliver high-quality proposals and presentations to clients.
* Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for bids.
* Monitor the market and competitor activities to inform bid strategy.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures throughout the bid process.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of bid processes and practices.
* Provide regular reports on bid performance to senior management.


Candidate Profile

For the Bid Manager - Legal Services role, applicants should have:

* At least 2 years of experience in a bid-related role, ideally in a lead management capacity. Applications from more junior candidates will also be considered.
* A background in professional services, particularly in the legal sector; experience in financial services or business services is also relevant.
* Strong leadership and project management skills.
* The ability to work autonomously in a bids role.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* The ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
* High attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality proposals.
* The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.


Job Offer

On offer for the Bid Manager - Legal Services role:

* Base salary up to £55,000, dependent on experience.
* Hybrid working setup - 2 days onsite per week.
* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with an option to buy an additional 5 days.
* Enhanced pension scheme.
