Qualifications and experience we consider to be essential for the role:
* 7–12 years of experience in Data Engineering, with strong hands-on experience in Databricks and cloud-based data platforms.
* Proven experience working within the insurance industry, supporting insurance analytics, data platforms, or regulatory reporting environments.
* Strong understanding of insurance data domains, including policy lifecycle, underwriting, claims, and risk data.
* Strong proficiency in PySpark, Python, and SQL for large-scale data processing.
* Extensive experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and scalable data architectures.
* Hands-on experience with Azure cloud technologies, including:
* Azure Databricks
* Azure Data Factory
* Azure Data Lake
* Experience working with Delta Lake architecture and modern data warehousing patterns.
* Experience with Databricks components, including:
* Delta Live Tables
* Auto Loader
* Unity Catalog
